Nice place to visit but don't move or retire here - 12/9/2018
Retired here 2 years ago from Michigan. Less winter but still a lot of gloomy grey days with rain. Had a new house built only to find a very poor work ethic here. It's very hard to actually get people to come out and work. I think I have heard all the excuses in the book by now. Experienced very poor health care in Glasgow, better in Bowling Green, still nothing to brag about. Came here because there was no state tax on my pension, now the governor has changed that and began to tax retirement income. It's called the "Commonwealth of Kentucky". Very funny, there is nothing "Common" about wealth here. On the flip side, State parks are fantastic, they easily top Michigan state parks. Bottom line, Great place to visit but don't move or retire
