What BestPlaces Users Say about Tabernacle

Background information: Tabernacle, New Jersey is a small, rural town located in Burlington County. It has a population of just over 6,500 and is known for its scenic farmland and open spaces. Many residents praise the town for its tight-knit community and peaceful atmosphere.

According to user reviews on BestPlaces, Tabernacle receives mixed feedback from its residents. Some praise the town for its quiet and friendly atmosphere, while others criticize its lack of amenities and entertainment options.

One resident, Sarah, has been living in Tabernacle for 10 years and says, "Tabernacle is a beautiful and peaceful town. The people are friendly and it's a great place to raise a family. However, there's not much to do here and the nearest shopping and dining options are a bit of a drive."

On the other hand, another resident named John has a different perspective. He says, "I love the rural feel of Tabernacle and the fact that it's away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The tight-knit community here is amazing and there are plenty of outdoor recreational activities to enjoy. However, I do wish there were more options for dining and shopping within the town itself."

Another resident, Maria, has lived in Tabernacle her whole life and says, "I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. The small town charm and sense of community is unbeatable. We may not have all the amenities of a big city, but we make up for it with our neighborly spirit and peaceful surroundings."

However, not all reviews are positive. One reviewer, David, shares, "Tabernacle is a nice town, but it can feel isolated at times. It's a great place to live if you prefer a slower pace of life, but if you're looking for excitement and variety, this may not be the place for you."

General Feel - 7/1/2012
We moved to Tabernacle in 2009 from California. It is a very nice community that is far enough away from the snarled traffic and congestion, but close enough that you can get what you need. It is very family oriented which is both good and bad. Our kids are grown and live elsewhere, which puts us aside from most other families in the area. Schools are supposedly good, but the youngsters in the area are rude and present as entitled. Parents cater to their kids every need and discipline seems in short supply. The overall cost of living is extremely high in Jersey as property taxes and utilities are outrageously high. Other taxes and fees such as income and sales tax along with road/bridge tolls top off the whole "high cost of living" equation for Jersey as a whole.  Read More
