An improving city... - 8/4/2018
For those who haven't lived in Fort Smith in a few years, they may be surprised to see all the improved cultural amenities. The city has an amphitheater on the river which hosts several nice festivals like the Peacemaker Music Festival, Riverfront Blues Festival, a music filled Fourth of July, and Ales for Trails which has funded the addition of walking and bike trail throughout the city. The downtown farmers market grows every year, and an annual Arts Festival leaves fresh Murals on the downtown's buildings. There is also construction of a large museum being built downtown. I've lived in a lot of places, and what I find lacking is the atmosphere a large University brings otherwise I'd give it more than three
