Great place to live - a private island with apartment communities and gated communities in the back of the island. Although a little pricey, it's location is convenient to downtown Tampa, the convention center, the St. Pete times forum, the theatre and performing arts centers, and South Tampa, which is home to a number of great restaurants and bars. Especially for the single person or young couples, this is a great area. Also worth looking into are Davis Island and the South Tampa Area (Hyde Park).
