Star Historical District - 5/1/2008
Considered to be the worst area in the city,,, and I love it.
It has all the old beautiful homes, most built in the 1870鈥檚
to 1920鈥檚. It鈥檚 wonderful to see so many of them being refurbished.

Richmond has lots of Mom and Pop bars with good food a few great places to dine and the usual fast food places. I have not found a great pastry place yet. Have to go to Centerville for that.

Not much shopping for the ladies, just the usual Sears, Dillard鈥檚 ect. Skating rink, theater is about it for the kids.

The Glenn Miller Park is grossly under used by the city for summer entertainment and the downtown is very nice. Has so much potential to bring the people into it, needs some outside dining. This is where that pastry, coffee and great burger should do very well. The evening are wonderful. People are walking about, sitting on their porch, children riding bicycles. Everyone says Read More
