Revitalization/Gentrification - 7/14/2018
I feel like everyone who puts Y-town down is just trying to keep people from wanting to move here. They feel once people find out how cheap it is, that they will be priced out. otherwise why don't they just move if is that bad. Y-town has the same reputation that Oakland Ca. had. Now days you cant purchase a box house , 500 sq ft for less than $500,000 dollar there. The police there also have the gun shot finder. In Y- town, about 99% of the people who are victims of violent crime are them self criminals. The other crimes are things like shoplifting , someone leaving their purse in car and they car broken into. Y-town has the same reputation that Brooklyn NY had, now you can't buy a home there under a million dollars. I follow the crime here, since I live here and I can see by the crime stoppers report what is going on. We have neighborhood watch groups . 99% of violent crime is on criminals by criminals. Other petty crime is no different than what you would find in other cities. The
