West Houston - A Nice Suburban Lifestyle - 5/21/2007
I've lived in West Houston for almost twenty years after growing up in the suburbs of Chicago. West Houston offers much of the suburban lifestyle to which I was previously accustomed, but also has very good access to the main cultural scene of downtown (symphony, opera, musicals, plays, pro-sports); and nothing is more than a 20-25 minute drive during non-rush hour periods. Most of my daily/weekly shopping needs are no more than a 5 minute drive, and even specialty shopping needs are rarely more than 10-15 minutes.
