Living in Tetlin, AK is an experience like no other. The small village of just over 100 people has been part of the Native Village of Tetlin since 1968 and offers a unique lifestyle that many may not be used to. It is situated close to Alaska's Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, offering plenty of outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, and hiking for outdoor enthusiasts. There are also plenty of places to shop for supplies, including general stores and local vendors who often sell traditional Native foods. As a result, locals have access to all the essential amenities they need while still being able to appreciate their surroundings and live in harmony with the natural environment. Even though it can be cold during winter months with temperatures dropping below -40 degrees Fahrenheit at times, Tetlin's beauty makes up for any discomfort associated with living there.
