What BestPlaces Users Say about Campo
Campo, California is a small town located in the southeastern corner of the state, near the Mexico border. With a population of just over 2,600 people, this rural community offers a quiet and laid-back lifestyle. However, it also has its own unique charm and draws in tourists with its scenic hiking trails and proximity to the Laguna Mountains. Let's take a look at what residents have to say about living in Campo.
Review #1: "I've lived in Campo for over 20 years and it's been a wonderful place to call home. The people here are friendly and welcoming, and the community has a strong sense of unity. It's a small town, but there's always something to do, whether it's hiking, horseback riding, or attending local events." - John M.
Review #2: "I moved to Campo for the peaceful and serene surroundings, and it did not disappoint. The views are breathtaking and the pace of life is slow, which is exactly what I was looking for. However, the downside is that there isn't much in terms of amenities and shopping options, so be prepared to drive to nearby towns for those things." - Sarah L.
Review #3: "I've been living in Campo for a few months now and I love it. The community is close-knit and everyone is so friendly. I've never felt more at home in a place. The only downside is that it's a bit far from major cities, so commuting for work can be a bit of a hassle." - David R.
Review #4: "Campo is a hidden gem. It's a small town, but it's full of charm and character. The natural beauty of this area is unparalleled and there's always something new to discover. The only downside is that it can get really hot in the summer, but the winters are mild and pleasant." - Kelly S.
Overall, it seems that residents of Campo enjoy the close-knit community and natural beauty of the area, but note that it can be a bit isolated and lacking in amenities. The peaceful and slow-paced lifestyle is a major draw for many, but it's important to consider the trade-offs when considering living in this small California town.

financial growth and puplic transportation - 12/12/2012
why County of San Diego would not like to invest for public transportation in city of Campo? Financial growth of this community all dependes on public transportation such as existing rail road that has been seating for many years withought using it. Affortable housing, public services such as clinic, grossery stors, repaire and maintenance and retails of goods all these sources could bring more dollers for county of San Diego. Great revenue for County and people who wants to participate to have a better education and higher level of school, all depends to creat public transportation, so people will come and live in this community. Do not understand the politic of why State and Federal keeping this place isolated for so long. I know once long time ago was a very active city to distributing goods to Arizona and other places. why we left a nice land to dry gradualy and not creating by investion money to have a public transportation. Population always brings and contributes money to county.
