User Reviews:
1) "I've lived in Mill Valley for over 10 years and it's been a wonderful experience. The community here is tight-knit and there's always something fun and interesting to do. I love the access to nature and the beautiful views. It's definitely a bit pricey, but the quality of life is worth it." - Samantha R.
2) "I moved to Mill Valley for work and it's been a bit of a culture shock. It's a beautiful town, but there's definitely a sense of elitism and exclusivity here. Also, the cost of living is insane. I feel like I have to work twice as hard just to make ends meet." - Michael L.
3) "I grew up in Mill Valley and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's a safe and family-friendly community with great schools and a strong sense of community. The only downside is that it's becoming increasingly unaffordable for young families and the traffic can be a nightmare." - Emily S.
4) "Mill Valley is a dream come true. I moved here for the amazing schools and the laid-back lifestyle, and I couldn't be happier. There's always something to do, whether it's hiking, shopping, or attending local events. The only downside is that it's quite expensive, but to me, it's worth every penny." - David M.

Pristine and Costly - 3/13/2010
Mill Valley is a perfect place to live and raise a family, if you don't mind a cost of living index of 233. Don't distress - go mountain biking or hiking with 360-degree views of the Pacific ocean and Bay

California Gold - 3/11/2008
The gold is going out, not coming in. This is one of the most expensive places in the U.S. to live. Even minor household items are greatly inflated. Vet bills, double the normal amount and add on some. Better be ready to drive a Mercedes and spend above a million for a small house. Is the climate worth it? You

It Used to Be Paradise - 11/17/2006
I was raised in Mill Valley and lived there or nearby for 30+ years. I always thought it was paradise until it got too expensive. Former celebrities, former dot-com gazillionaires and yuppies ruined it. It doesn't seem fair but it seems more middle-class, native Californians like me have to live elsewhere to survive. I had to move out-of-state to find an affordable place to live.
I sure miss it but not the Rat Race it's

Mill Valley - 8/19/2005
Mill Valley is beautiful. The two problems with it are: Too expensive for the average citizen to live, and a bit snooty. Mill Valley is located in Marin County which is known for great schools, liberal attitude, and the beautiful land. Marin definately has all of these, but lacks diversity (both ethnically and socioeconomically). From my experience Mill Valley specifically has proven that the rich stay rich, and the poor must find elsewhere to
