What BestPlaces Users Say about Nucla

Nucla is a small town located in the western part of Colorado. With a population of approximately 700 people, it is known for its scenic landscapes and outdoor recreational opportunities. However, like any place, it has its pros and cons. In order to get a better understanding of what it's like to live in Nucla, we will be summarizing several user reviews from the website BestPlaces.net.

Many of the reviewers on BestPlaces.net mention the small-town feel and community-oriented atmosphere of Nucla. It is also noted that the cost of living is relatively low, making it a more affordable option compared to other cities in Colorado. However, there are also some concerns raised about the lack of job opportunities and limited amenities and services in the town.

Review #1 – Bethany M.: "Nucla is a hidden gem in Colorado. The community is so welcoming and friendly, you feel like you've known everyone for years. The cost of living is great, and the scenery is breathtaking. However, finding a good job here can be a challenge."

Review #2 – John S.: "Living in Nucla has its perks, but it's definitely not for everyone. If you enjoy a slower pace of life and a tight-knit community, this is the place for you. But for those who need a variety of shops and restaurants, you won't find that here. But the natural beauty of the area makes up for it."

Review #3 – Samantha L.: "I moved to Nucla a few years ago and couldn't be happier. The people here are so friendly and welcoming. The cost of living is affordable, and there's plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy. My only complaint is the limited job opportunities, but I work from home so it's not a big issue for me."

Review #4 – Michael G.: "While Nucla has its charms, it's not the most convenient place to live. The lack of services and amenities can be frustrating. Plus, the job market is very limited, so be prepared to commute for work. But if you love the outdoors and a close-knit community, you'll feel right at home here."

Pretty much worst town to be in. - 9/16/2019
Worst place I've ever lived.
Grocery stores are awful, with horrible food that costs way to much, and they turn freezers off to "save money".
Power company is crooked, never got a bill/phone call/ or disconnect notice and when I called them when power went off they said to "call an electrician." That happened twice, no call, letter, nothing. People are rude, and seem to have little to no education. People make you feel like your stupid for asking a legitimate question where they are working.
Nothing to do unless you want to drive the awful roads for hours that aren't maintained worth a crap.
The cops aren't bad for being cops, they're actually decent.
The emts are rude and almost let a friend die because who knows why? They didn't even have a tool to turn on oxygen so had to give them one to use.
Too many tweekers.
Basically nothing is good about this Read More

This town is by far a good place to live , there are mostly uneducated people that want to stay back in the 50s and complain that they are picked on . They do not want diversity and have no desire to change , they only fight it. I have lived here most of my life and thank god i did not end up on drugs/alchol like most of the towns locals. dont move Read More
