What BestPlaces Users Say about Cheshire
As a small town located in central Connecticut, Cheshire has a lot to offer to its residents. With a population of around 30,000, it is known for its small-town charm, good schools, and low crime rates. However, like any other place, it also has its drawbacks. Several user reviews on the website BestPlaces.net provide insight into what it's like to live in Cheshire. Overall, it seems to be a popular choice for families and those seeking a quieter lifestyle, but there are some concerns about the high cost of living and lack of diversity.
One user, named Jessica, praises Cheshire's sense of community and quality of life, saying, "I've lived in Cheshire all my life and have always felt safe and welcomed here. The schools are excellent, and there are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy." Similarly, another reviewer named John shares, "Cheshire is a great place to raise a family. The schools are top-notch, and there are many community events that bring people together."
However, not all reviews are glowing. Janet, a long-time resident, mentions, "Cheshire is a lovely town, but it has become too expensive to live in. Property taxes are constantly increasing, and it's hard for young families to afford a home here." Another user, named David, points out the lack of diversity in the town, saying, "Cheshire is a nice place, but it's not very diverse. It's mostly white and upper-middle-class families. I wish there was more representation and inclusivity."
Despite these concerns, it seems that the majority of users are happy living in Cheshire. Many rave about the quaint downtown area and the close-knit community. As user Sarah puts it, "I've lived in Cheshire for 10 years now, and I couldn't imagine calling any other place home. It's peaceful, safe, and has a real sense of community." However, it's important to note that the high cost of living and lack of diversity are valid points to consider before making the move to this charming town.

Why I Love Cheshire - 9/1/2010
I love Cheshire because the people there are friendly, mind their own business and the town is so pretty! I live in Meriden and I go to Cheshire often just to relax. Meriden is a rotten town and thasnk god for Cheshire! They have a few great restaurants, quality coffee shops and alot of nice people will stop and chat with you while you're out walking. A place to raise kids. No one walks around acting "ghetto" like in Meriden.
