A piece of paradise at a low cost - 1/1/2007
Fort White is growing. In the last 3 years I have lived here, I find it a quiet, country, peaceful setting with very low taxes. There are many people here that for generations have lived here but are now giving up their properties whether to development companies or just selling because the taxes have increased due to development.
Living in Northern United States all of my life, I did find it a bit strange at first the division of cultures. However, within the last year due to increase of "outside" population it is bringing in a new attitutde which is good. There are still some of the "Good ol boys" around here that are finding driving with a beer in hand is no longer a practice the sherriff can look the other way on anylonger so to speak. A "No Tolerance Law" being enforced in the community, many were arrested and no longer here.
My property value increased $50,000 in 2 years. I do not believe I could have received a better return in my investment
