What BestPlaces Users Say about North Aurora
North Aurora, Illinois is a small suburb located about 40 miles west of Chicago. It has a population of around 17,000 and is known for its peaceful neighborhoods, good schools, and proximity to major highways. However, like any other place, it has its own unique qualities and drawbacks. In this task, we will take a look at what some residents have to say about living in North Aurora based on user reviews from BestPlaces.net.
According to user reviews on BestPlaces.net, North Aurora offers a tight-knit community and a great quality of life. One reviewer, named Sarah, shared that "North Aurora is a safe, quiet, and beautiful place to live. The schools are excellent, and the community is friendly and welcoming." Similarly, another user named John commented, "I've lived in North Aurora for over 20 years and it's been a great place to raise a family. The parks and recreational activities are top-notch, and there's a strong sense of community here." These reviews highlight the positive aspects of living in North Aurora, particularly its family-friendly atmosphere and sense of safety.
However, not all reviews are glowing. Some residents have expressed concerns about the cost of living in North Aurora. One user, named Emily, noted that "living in North Aurora can be expensive, especially when it comes to housing. The property taxes are quite high, and it's hard to find affordable options." Another reviewer, named Mark, added, "I love the location, but the cost of living can be a bit overwhelming. Everything from groceries to utilities seems to be more expensive here." These reviews suggest that while North Aurora may offer a good quality of life, it may come at a higher cost compared to other places.
In terms of the overall atmosphere and amenities, opinions are mixed. One user named Jane mentioned that "North Aurora has a small-town feel, but it's still close enough to Chicago for a day trip. There are plenty of shops and restaurants, but it's not too busy or crowded." On the other hand, another reviewer named David stated, "The lack of diversity in North Aurora is a major downside. It can feel isolating and there aren't as many options for things to do compared to other places." These reviews highlight the trade-offs of living in North Aurora - a peaceful and quiet community, but with limited diversity and fewer entertainment options.
In conclusion, North Aurora, Illinois seems to be a pleasant place to live overall, with a strong sense of community and good quality of life. However, it may not be the most affordable option, and the lack of diversity may not appeal to everyone. Ultimately, the decision to live in North Aurora will depend on individual preferences and priorities.

Nice river for walking and biking - 2/13/2013
North Aurora is a small town, with many new houses built at the same time. Schneider Elementary school has a great staff, nice education with Illinois Institute of Math and Science Academy 15 minute away.
The Fox river is great for biking and walking along the water. In the center of the town is a river bank/rapid, where water cascades down from a high point like a waterfall - beautiful! It's a great place for fishing with trout fishing in Lake Herrick lake in Warrenville, or fishing in Fox River. There are many young children and old folks too. Grocery stores are cheap at ethnic places in nearby Aurora. Shopping is great at nearby outlet mall. What I like best about North Aurora is the friendly small village spirit but lots of place for shopping. The village well-water tastes Yummy, sweet with our dolomitic lime (calcium and magnesium rock)! It won the water-tasting award a few years ago. I take this "mineral" water over "blah" city water anytime. I have

North Aurora is a friendly place - 2/13/2013
Since North Aurora is a small city with many new houses built at the same time, it's a close-knit community. Schneider school is excellent with friendly staff. There's a bike path that runs along the Fox River, great for running. At the center of the city is a water-bank where water cascades down from height of the river, great view. There are cheap ethnic grocery stores nearby Aurora. Winter is short, colder but less snow than MI. Shopping is great with the big outlet mall.

Walking and Biking - 6/22/2012
Though it is a small community (about 16,000), North Aurora is spread over a relatively large area. Getting around within neighborhoods on foot or bicycle is safe, though the town overall is not well suited to foot and bike transportation, almost necessitating access to a car.
That being said, North Aurora does have easy access to the Fox River Bike Path, allowing direct walking and cycling access to Aurora and towns to the north along the river. It's just too bad North Aurora's own waterfront development is lacking compared to its

Quiet village - 8/14/2011
North Aurora is at the far western edge of the Chicago suburbs. It is in the middle of a north/south string of communities on the Fox river, known as the Fox (river) Valley.I grew up in the Fox Valley and have lived here most of my life. We are pretty much the edge of civilization; less than a mile west of here becomes farmland. The whole Fox Valley has seen tremendous growth in the last 40 years. I anticipate that with growth leveling off,in the next 20 years this string of suburban towns will face the same sort of sustainability issues as much of the country.Meanwhile it's quiet, pretty and lot's of cultural opportunities in the
