Illinois is hard working - 7/29/2021
I have resided in Illinois over 30 years . originally thinking it's better elsewhere, I have proven myself to be completely wrong. After this pandemic, I see the truth. Our state takes care of each other, we have more friends than foes. Farmer's strive to feed, land is moist, black soil etc. Chicago is the worst, but I'm from the country, and don't visit the big crazy city up there . I live where Wild bill Hickok is originally from, and near state parks . You have to realize Illinois is a HUGE STATE , down southern Illinois they have accents compared to us more northern Illinois.
We have 4 seasons.. and I couldn't imagine a Christmas without looking out the window at snow filling the sky .
I think Illinois people appreciate the elements and work hard . I think this site is confusing since I live at a much higher elevation then they record. We have windmills, at over 800 ft .
