My name is Allan Carter. I grew up in Wayne County Kentucky on a farm. It was an Excellent life. I can't complain about any thing. We always had plenty to eat, money to spend and a nice home to go to. Had my own horse and Farm animals that belong to me.
Spent a lot of time working on the farm, fishing, hunting and played sports.
At age 16 I had my own car.
I was Captain of the High School Basketball Team,Was voted the Best athlete of the year my senior year of school.Married the girl who was Miss Basketball in school.After High School I went to Atlanta School of Radio and TV.

I would suggest that anyone considering living in Monticello, KY check out the mortality statistics. According to local physicians (who will talk privately), the cancer rate is astronomically high. Several causes have been postulated, chief among them the indiscriminate use of pesticides and some possible "off site transfers," meaning toxic waste hauled in from other states. In addition, the water from Lake Cumberland, which is the source of drinking water for the town, is loaded with mercury from the state's coal-fired power plants, the closest of which is in Somerset, Kentucky.
