What BestPlaces Users Say about Nanty-Glo
Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania is a small borough located in Cambria County, with a population of around 2,600 residents. The town was founded in the early 1900s as a coal mining community, and although the mining industry has declined, it remains a close-knit community with a strong sense of history. With its rural setting and affordable cost of living, Nanty Glo has attracted a diverse group of residents. In this context, I will summarize and include reviews from various users about living in Nanty Glo.
According to multiple reviews on BestPlaces, the overall consensus among residents is that Nanty Glo is a quaint and welcoming place to live. One user, John, describes it as a "small, tight-knit community where everyone knows each other." Another user, Jessica, praises the town's affordability, stating that "housing prices are very reasonable compared to other areas in Pennsylvania." However, not all reviews are glowing. Bob, a long-time resident, expresses concerns about the town's limited job opportunities, stating that "unless you work in the service industry or commute to a nearby city, job options are scarce." Similarly, Mary, a recent transplant, mentions the lack of diversity in Nanty Glo, stating that "as a person of color, I sometimes feel out of place in this predominantly white town." Despite these criticisms, many users, including John and Jessica, mention the town's beautiful natural surroundings and close proximity to outdoor activities such as hiking and fishing. In conclusion, while Nanty Glo may not be perfect for everyone, it seems to offer a charming small-town atmosphere and a strong sense of community for those who call it home.

Yes there are some good teachers left in the system however; I witnessed a new Learning Support teacher giving answer keys and copying notebooks for students that should be held responsible for their grades. Blacklick Valley is failing Learning Support students for life in general with
