pretty, quaint, isolating, cold and WINDY - 4/7/2022
Pros: The town is cute, the downtown feels like a Hallmark movie and surprisingly there are quite a few shops for the population size.
You can see the mountains on the horizon and there are several reservoirs and a forest nearby . It's very safe, most folks don't even lock their doors. In10 months i heard of one crime that was quickly resolved. Summers are gorgeous here. If you like cowboy/mountaineer stuff, youll be home.youliterally see guys wearing spurs and fur hats.
Cons: it's windy (hurricane level wind), the winter lasts 6-7 months, people arent very friendly. If you didn't grow up here or have family here, you'll never belong. It's a perfect town for witness protection program - seriously. You can live in town and never meet any if your neighbors even though the town only has 3500 people. You have to drive at least an hour to go anywhere bigger . It's a very isolated town, people are VERY much to themselves, it's sooo windy. You'll spend at least half of the year
