Great Location to live in Northeast Georgia!

Clarkesville, Georgia is a good place to live. It has a wide range of housing options and good city services. The downtown area has ample parking, several great restaurants, numerous little boutique type shops, and a laid back atmosphere. There is a community theatre that always has a show of some sort. Lots of outdoor opportunities for hiking, biking, and fishing. Great city park with nice playground for the kids. Wonderful location for access to Atlanta metro area and the Smoky Mountains. Not on, but within five miles of a major highway that is a straight shot to I-85. A safe area with comparatively low taxes. Several "intown" neighborhoods at different price levels. Habersham Shoals has estate sized wooded lots, Soque River access, and homes for sale just 1 mile from the city center. The Village on Washington is a planned neighborhood in the city with different housing options.
