Review of Fayetteville, Arkansas

Not a good place for non-whites, overrated.

I've lived in Fayetteville for the past 10.5 years - went to college here, worked here, recently moved to Bentonville. Fayetteville is way overrated, whatever you read about #5 best place to live, I can assure you, unless you are a BIG TIME outdoors person who doesn't mind racism, drugs, nothing to do, you will regret moving here. If you're a minority, stay away. You won't be welcomed, and you'll be isolated, you'll lose job opportunities, dating pool is literally 0% for minorities. These are all facts, no regrets on my side, because Fayetteville 5 or 10 years ago was pretty awesome, but today, no.

I am a middle aged White guy and in today's America that's the minority. So please get off of the ...bad place for minorities routine, It's old and dated.

Northwest Arkansas is great, see US News and World Report of best places to live in the NATION--its fluctuates between third and fifth. And quite the opposite of what you say, it has gotten better int he last few years, not worse. You won't see this much new construction in a town this size anywhere--lots being cleared and new buildings going up on almost every corner--apartments, homes, condos, eating establishments etc. Center of higher education with the University, and a third of the population students. Has the arts with nearby arts museum in Bentonville. Wreaks of improvement, and out with the old and in with the new.

Is your post regarding racism specific to Fayetteville or the entire NWA region (Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale etc..)? I ask as an interracial couple who is considering a move to NWA.

Well you're singing my song, sweet heart! You'd love Athens, Georgia where a UGA TA got away with suggesting the murder of white people to attain "equality." Not once but twice. Looking for fewer of these hostile minorities and more of my own kind.
