Family-Friendly

If you just want to raise a family in a clean, safe, and friendly environment, without paying an arm and a leg, then Hyrum is the place for you. There are great recreational opportunities with the mountains and canyons just a couple miles away. The city requires fairly good minimum lot sizes (.28 acre per home), so that housing density isn't going to be an issue. And you're far away from the big cities enough to breathe the cleaner air, and actually have your kids know what a cow looks like. But you still have the university a few miles away, and plenty of fun things for families to do. For all of this, you can still build a spacious, new, 2-story home in a nice neighborhood for $200,000 to $250,000. Not many places left in the west where you can still do that.
