Old Saint Augustine is a fun place to visit and to live near. There are over 100 restaurants and probably 15 live music venue on the weekends and many during the weekdays. Due to its talented musicians, St Augustine is known as the Nashville of Florida. There are plenty of fun things to do near St Augustine, and the beach is the number one attraction nearby. The city is located in St Johns County, which is the wealthiest county and also has the top rated schools in the state. It's a half hour drive to Jacksonville, a center for commerce banking, insurance, transportation, and healthcare. Jacksonville has 11 hospitals including the top rated Mayo Clinic. The area is also home to TPC Sawgrass and the Amelia Island Concour D'elegance, a world famous car show and auction centered at the Ritz-Carlton on Amelia island. North Florida has three seasons as opposed to South Florida which is hot most of the time. Funny, most of the reviews here are negative; I suspect they are trying to keep people from moving into Florida! To hell with winter weather and outrageous taxes.
