The fact the Washington is, and has been, a blue state seems to have been missed by you. I lived in Sequim and Port Angeles for over 28 years, have been gone 3 years, and look forward to returning this year. Yes it is growing and changing just like every city in our country. Maybe you should try the less populated red states in the middle of our country. One of the great things about our country is if you don鈥檛 like where you live, you can always move to a state/city more to your liking where like minded people share your politics and views. Why move to a democratic state when you clearly do not like democrats? Every state/city has both good and bad points, no place is perfect, it is choice we have to decide where we live and it is a personal choice based on many factors. If you don鈥檛 like where you are, enact change instead of complaining. Sequim is one of the few places left where you can visit a 6000 ft glacier and the ocean all in the same day, not to mention a rain forest, multiple islands, metropolitan cities, and a foreign country all accessible in a day trip. Quality of life is hard to beat in Sequim.
