Celebrate Spanaway!!!

I have lived in Spanaway my whole life and have experienced so many changes. Although still primaraly suburban and rural we are growing every day with new bussiness and new homes. Soon we will open two new schools. Ten years ago a few neighbors got together to form Celebrate!Spanaway a non-profit that created community awareness and togetherness and helped moved crime out of the historical downtown Spanaway area. We celebrate each year with a huge community fair in the Spanaway Elementary school yard on the second to last weekend in July. Also worthy of mentioning is our Beutifull Spanaway Lake and park newly renovated with miles of walking paths a new play area, beaches and picknick areas. We have a historical cemetary and several buildings, plus all of the conviences of Wal-mart and fast food!
