A unique upper-midwestern town

Trempealeau is a bit unique for the region; a bit left of center, yet tethered by traditional salt of the earth values. Blemishes are present, as in any small town with limited economic and cultural pursuits...but gems lie in the lush river valley and scenic bluff lands. The Midwestern social values, lost to so many communities still exist here, for those that care to involve themselves. The care, pride, and respect people seem to seek in other locations across the nation, are ever present. The educational institutions are nurturing, recreational pursuits abundant at the doorstep, and a families wellbeing and security allows for sound sleep. The living is affordable, but have a plan for employment before arriving at the door. The climate is character building, while keeping the riff-raff out: It does build a backbone, which more people across this nation could use a bit more of... There are plenty of days that shine, even in January. Three universities lie within a half hour drive; kayaking, fishing, hunting, hiking, water skiing, x-country skiing, legendary biking, motorcycle cruising, birding, golfing, small town festivals and seasonal events abound. Shakespeare, to Ducks Unlimited; Friday night high school football to community talent shows and summer concerts are enjoyed by residents in this community. Wether you fancy is a walnut burger at the hotel or a tavern burger at Hungry Point, the sunsets and surrounding company will warm you.
