Lived here for four more than 20 years and I still love it. It's a small town and most of everyone knows everyone. You can choose between living in privacy in the country or living close to your neighbors in city limits. Hunting, fishing, farming, hiking, anything related to the outdoors is more than accessible a few minutes away from home. If you're more a city person then St Louis is only an hour away on the highway with Wentzville, Ofallon, St Charles, and Chesterfield between the big city and home.
Jobs are limited to mostly retail, factory, or fast food in town but is only a 20 minute drive down to Wentzville for more variety of you need it.
Cost of living is pretty decent here too. Only takes about $50k after taxes for a family of 2 parents and 3 children and an $1100/month mortgage to live just fine without any money trouble.
