climate and allergies

The Indy metro has a lot going for it, but the climate -- hot, humid summers; icy, sleety winters-- is a big negative, especially if you have allergy or sinus issues. I've lived all over the country and my allergies have never been worse. The mold and pollen counts have left me with 4+ sinus infections a year, in spite of prescription medication and the best HVAC air cleaner money can buy.
I've talked to many other people with the same experience. Now I know why my grandmother used to refer to it as 'Sinus City.'
