A town with something for everyon & near so much - 1/23/2018
Having lived in the region for four years, I have a good idea what is going on here. This is a younger area, if you are looking to live with much older folks head for the west coast. Lake Worth has a phenomenal cultural background. Galleries, great restaurants, a Playhouse, a dynamite beach and pier. Nearby is West Palm Beach, a thriving city minutes away, and also so close to Ft.Lauderdale, Miami. If you cannot find something to fit your tastes in this stretch of land, I dont know what you are looking for. It is not easy to get utilities set up in town. You better have excellent credit or a hefty downpayment will be held. Why? Too many renters skipped on the bills and it cost the town. While electric costs have gone done twice in four years, AC in summer can be pricy. Upgrade your unit and seal the cracks in your home. Yes, it has a tourist base in the winter months which are why we ive in Fla. full time. People from all over descend on the town, and give it an international flair.
