Okay for retirees. - 5/1/2020
I lived in Southbay for three years because of my job, it was the worst place I鈥檝e lived in my life. The rental home at $3500 per month was not taken care of by homeowner and though I鈥檇 informed the owner of mold issues they did nothing. My teenage daughter became so sick she had to move in with my mother in Ft. Myers which played havoc on her school changes. On top of that the once weekly garbage pickup and lack of quality recycled goods became a nightmare as County was not equipped to handle our recycling needs. On highway 41 the traffic speeds along at 55 MPH which is way too fast, especially with majority of drivers over the age of 60. Speaking of which, the retirement village was like living in an elephants graveyard. I actually quit my new job because I became severely depressed in this fishing village, and I was luckier than my wife, for at least I got to travel to Sarasota for my office.
