The armpit of Iowa - 5/16/2018
4 years in this backwater dump is more than enough for me.
Having lived in 8 other states(permanently) and worked in another 6 for periods of from 1 month to a year, plus 3 months in England more than qualifies me to comment on CR.
The landlords here are the sleaziest I have ever encountered, liars, frauds. I'm now in my 3rd day of this place that was flooded (3rd time in my 4 years here). The landlords response was to hire some local yokels to come in and clean all the mold out. The problem was caused by a sump pump that failed which he has yet to address.
The contractors brought in 2 dehumidifiers, 4 industrial fans, which together create abut 95 db of noise which have been running for over 40 hours.
All of this plus a local quack that overbilled me. Messicare has been investigating this for over a year with no results. The city streets are constantly being repaired (torn up) . The only thing that fills the potholes is the winter snow, other
