Baltimore-Wasington Corridor - 11/3/2007
Living in the Baltimore-Washington corridor is a mixed blessing. On the positive side, there are a lot of "things to do" options: lots of water activities, mountains nearby, big city nightlife, DC excitement, two NFL teams (be careful which you chose), major college athletics, excellent medical facilities (Johns Hopkins is only one of many), plays & concerts, etc. On the negative side, the cost of living here is out of sight! True story: Doing some online research I found a house (new construction) by a major builder. The model in question was offered in several locations around the country. The cost of the house in my area was exactly twice the cost of a development in Ohio. So, if your moving here from NY city or LA you'll feel right at home.
