Best town to live in, recenlty suffering an identi - 7/26/2010
I grew up in Amherst. I never had a problem at all living here. I have pride in my town and appreciate that it is mostly a white community, just as other ethnic towns have a sense of pride and community. For the first time in over 30 years, loud, belligerent blacks have been walking around downtown and swearing at cars. A bunch of poor whites from Vermilion are finding their way into the town also with their loud stereos and Dodge Neons with spoilers on the trunk, and they walk the streets with their pants falling off and staring at everyone. It is pretty sad, and this used to be a quiet town. I hate noise. The houses cost less here than they used to, and now people from Lorain are able to afford living here. They are from a higher crime place and bring their higher crime with them. Pretty sad. Crime is cheap, Amherst used to be expensive enough to filter out the criminal type. Read More
