I ORIGINALLY MOVED HERE IN 1979. IT HAD AND STILL HAS SOME OF THE NICEST PEOPLE. THE ECONOMY WAS BAD THEN, BUT NOT THESE DAYS. THE POPULATION HAS GROWN FROM 17000 TO OVER 36OOO. THE WORD IS OUT! THIS BEAUTIFUL CITY IS A PERFECT RETIREMENT TOWN WITH 4 MILD SEASONS. IT US LOCATED JUST 60 MILES NORTH OF THE CALIFORNIA BORDER WITH THE MIGHTY ROGUE RIVER RUNNING THROUGH THE HEART OF TOWN. WE HAVE JET BOAT EXCURSION RIDES THAT ARE APPROPRIATE FOR ALL AGES! THEY ARE THRILLING. WE HAVE SKIING , HUNTING, FISHING ETC. TAKE A BEAUTIFUL 1 1/2 DRIVE TO OUR OREGON COAST THROGH THE REDWOODS AND SPEND THE DAY IN BROOKINGS OR GOLD BEACH. I HAD TO WRITE THIS BECAUSE OF THE HORRIBLE COMMENTS ON GRANTS PASS. OUR FIRST REACTION WAS....THEY MUST WANT NO ONE TO COME HERE BECAUSE THEY WANT TO KEEP IT TO THEMSELVES.!!! OVER THE LAST 30 YEARS 75 % OF OUR FRIENDS THAT CAME TO VISIT HAVE MOVED HERE AND WE ARE ALL LOVING LIFE IN THIS BEAUTIFUL CITY! OUR HOME WORTH 350K would cost OVER to 850k in the Thousand
