North Lake Conroe area, closest city = Willis - 4/21/2009
Unfortunately statistics for the City of Willis does not quite apply to the unincorporated area where I live - waterfront on Lake Conroe. The view is spectacular (see louistong.com) and the neighbors are nice. The worst part of living here is the property tax. This is a problem all over Texas, since we do not have a state income tax. Property appraisal goes up every year and so does the taxes (about 3% of value).
Otherwise this area is pretty much in line with Conroe, TX, but not The Woodlands, TX where property prices are much higher and a lot more fees associated with home
