Beautiful, inexpensive, 1 hr to SLC Airport - 2/18/2020
Have lived here for 2 years. Largely pastoral farmland area, luxury homes on large acreage are happening here as Park City housing bubble drives people elsewhere. At mouth of Canyon leading into Cache, Mendon only an hour to SLC airport. Nearby Logan is kind of a blue-collar town, could use some more non-chain restaurants, but has all big box stores for shopping... No luxury stores here, yet... If you're from out of state with kids, public schools here are not great from what I've read. Few if any private high school options. Incredibly cheap if you're a retiree or semi-retired, decent local Hospitals. My property taxes are,
3,300 per year for a 5,000 sq ft home on 3 acres. (I lived in Park City for 6 yrs, similar size house, sold my house there for 600 per sq ft, bought here for159 per sq ft with real scraped hickory wood floors, floor to ceiling stone fireplace, high grade kitchen, etc). Beautiful views of Wellsville mountains from Mendon. This is the up and coming Read More
