My family and I are transplants from the western part of va. and the Chester area has been nothing but a blessing to have settled in some 30 years ago.
The school system is top notch and the area teams with activities for the young and old alike. It is a beautiful and serene little village that borders on the edge of modern hustle and bustle yet quaint enought to take that even stroll or just relax without fear of gun shots ringing in your ears. Everything about this place allows my family and I to be part of what was only a train depot/hotel and several houses turned field hospitals during the civil war with many of those still standing today as individual residences of the citizens of Chester. It is kind of like where the new meets the past and evidence of the once great battles still can be found all around the area.
