Highlands in Longview - 9/2/2007
Indeed, it seems the Highland neighborhood has been short changed by the city of Longview and its residents. When the neighborhood was built it housed the mill workers and their families, but that is no longer the case and many of the little houses are quite suitable for home ownership and home owners are what the Highlands needs, not the so called investors who buy up the inexpensive houses and rent them out only to see a decline in the care a house needs in order to be a complement to the neighborhood.

I say, come and try out the Highlands, you'll be surprised at the small price you have to pay for a great little house that might need some work, and you can be the homeowner that starts to make a difference in how a neighborhood can be perceived.
