Latimer County is located in east-central Oklahoma and exists since before statehood - 16th May 1907 - when Wilburton became established as its county seat although other cities such as Bokoshe, Fanshawe and Red Oak also feature across its 1300 km虏 (501 sq mi). According to information from the United States Census Bureau puts Latimer's population estimate at 11 215 individuals; giving Latimer undisputedly classification amongst some of less densely populated counties found encompassed within Oklahomas boundary lines.
