Penalosa, KS is a small town with a population of only 2 people and a population density of 175 people per square mile. Although small in size, Penalosa has plenty to offer its two residents. The downtown area is home to many local businesses, such as the Penalosa General Store which sells everything from groceries to apparel. There are also several year-round outdoor activities available for visitors to enjoy, such as hiking trails and fishing spots. Other organizations in the area include churches, libraries, and museums. Every year Penalosa hosts a large sporting event known as the Annual Trail Run which attracts runners from all over the state. Residents take pride in their town and participate in all its events and activities.
