Overland, ND is a small rural town located in the northwest corner of the state. With a population of only 63 people, it is one of the least densely populated areas of the United States with a population density of 0 people per square mile compared to the US average of 93 people per square mile. Despite its small size, Overland is home to many local businesses and organizations. The town has several restaurants including Fred's Family Restaurant and Jerry's Bar & Grill, both popular places for locals to gather for a bite to eat. There are also several shops such as Mabel's Gift Store and Ben's Hardware Store for residents to shop at. Outdoor activities are plentiful in this area due to its location near several large bodies of water such as Lake Sakakawea and Lake Audubon. Activities include fishing, hunting, camping, boating and more. Additionally, Overland hosts an annual ice fishing tournament each year which attracts visitors from all over North Dakota. Other organizations like the local Lions Club host community events such as parades and fundraisers throughout the year as well. All in all, Overland is a charming little town with plenty of activities year-round for locals and visitors alike!
