Tioga, WV is a small rural town with an estimated population of 269 people. Although the population density of 11 people per square mile is much lower than the US Population density of 93 people per square mile, there are still plenty of activities to do year-round in Tioga. In summer months, locals enjoy fishing and boating at Tioga Lake, or hiking and mountain biking in the nearby Monongahela National Forest. During winter months, residents can ski or snowboard at Timberline Four Seasons Resort.
The town also has several businesses to check out including 2 Nature鈥檚 Grocery store that sells local produce, meats, cheeses and more. The town also has 2 banks for financial needs: BB&T and City National Bank. There are many other organizations in Tioga including the Tioga Fire Department and the East Fairmont High School Band program which helps children learn music. Every year, locals participate in the annual Rainelle Christmas Parade that celebrates the season with floats and lights. Also held each year is the Mud Bog Races at Timothy Lake where drivers race their vehicles around a track made up of mud pits and obstacles.
