Berea, KY is a small town with a population of just over 14,000 people. As such, the religious congregations in and around the 40404 area reflect its small-town character. In Berea there are three main churches: First Baptist Church of Berea, Berea Christian Church, and St. Peter Lutheran Church. All three churches offer weekly services and are active within the community. First Baptist Church of Berea is a Southern Baptist church that emphasizes traditional worship and outreach to those outside the Christian faith. Berea Christian Church focuses on evangelism with an emphasis on youth outreach and discipleship. St. Peter Lutheran provides traditional services and missions to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ both locally and abroad. Each congregation has its own unique mission, but all three have one thing in common: they are passionate about their faith in Jesus Christ and strive to make a positive impact on their local community through their worship services, outreach programs, and other ministries.
