Plainview, CA is home to a variety of schools that provide quality education for its students. The school district here consists of eight elementary schools, two middle schools, two high schools, and one alternative school. These schools are highly rated and have many different features that make them stand out. Most of the elementary schools offer a wide range of programs that include fine arts, physical education, library services, technology classes as well as other activities and support services. Middle schools provide courses in mathematics, science, social studies, literature and language arts. The high school provides students with the opportunity to take advanced classes such as AP classes and college preparatory courses while also providing a comprehensive extracurricular program with activities such as marching band and theater. The alternative school offers specialized educational services focused on English Language Learners (ELL) and at-risk students.
