Honesdale, Pennsylvania is home to a wide variety of excellent schools. The district offers nine elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school and several private and parochial institutions. Each school strives for excellence in academics and provides a safe learning environment. Honesdale High School provides numerous Advanced Placement classes and technical programs such as automotive technology, health occupations and welding technology that prepare students for college and career paths. The middle schools offer STEM-based education emphasizing science, technology, engineering and mathematics as well as art classes with a focus on creativity. In addition to strong curricular offerings, all of the district鈥檚 schools provide a wide range of extra-curricular activities from sports teams to clubs designed to engage students in their local community.
