Cary, Mississippi is a small town located in Smith County with a population of approximately 781 people. It is part of the larger region of Central Mississippi. Politically, Cary is conservative in nature and its local government is mainly focused on providing basic public services such as police protection, infrastructure maintenance, and garbage collection. The town is represented on the Smith County Board of Supervisors by Mr. Jimmy Mcdade and Mrs. Joyce Higgins who are both from Cary and serve as at-large supervisors for the county. The Town Council consists of seven members who are elected to four-year terms by popular vote. These members work together with the Mayor to ensure that all necessary services are provided for their constituents. Finally, there is also an active local chapter of the Republican Party which works to support conservative values in the community.
