Rye, NY is a small city in Westchester County, New York. It is known for its quaint downtown area as well as its proximity to the Long Island Sound. Politically, Rye has been historically conservative and the Republican party dominates many of the electoral decisions in the city. The current mayor of Rye is Joe Sack, who was elected in 2013 and serves a four-year term. He has focused on keeping taxes low and maintaining fiscal responsibility while still investing in public services such as education and infrastructure improvements.
