St. Pete Beach, FL is a small city located in the Tampa Bay area of Florida with a population of about 9,800 people. It is known for its beautiful sandy beaches and vibrant downtown area. The city is governed by a five-member City Commission which sets policy direction for the municipality. The current Mayor is Al Johnson, who was elected in April 2019 and serves a two-year term. The other four members of the commission are Vice Mayor Terri Finnerty, Commissioners Melinda Pletcher, Jim Parent and Lorraine Huhn. All five City Commissioner positions are elected at-large by the citizens of St. Pete Beach on a non-partisan basis every two years to serve three-year terms.
